About Starfire - In foster care in Brunswick
Some loves are instant — a fairytale spark at first sight. But others, like Starfire, take a little patience… and are all the more rewarding for it.
At first, she may be a bit shy, preferring to quietly watch her surroundings before she feels safe enough to step into them. But once her confidence blossoms, her true nature shines through: gentle, affectionate, and playfully endearing. Whether she’s curling up on a cozy towel in the sunshine or chasing her rainbow string toy across the room, Starfire radiates a peaceful joy that makes a house feel like a home.
In the evenings, she and her sister Dara love nothing more than a good game to burn off their kitten energy before snuggling together for a sweet cuddle at the end of the day. The bond they share is truly special — they balance and comfort each other in the most heartwarming way.
Starfire (and hopefully Dara, too!) would thrive in a quiet, patient home filled with kindness. If you’re looking for a pair of loving companions who will reward your care with trust, purrs, and endless cuddles, these sisters may just be your happily-ever-after.

Adoption details
Before applying to meet one of our cats, please ensure that
- you have the agreement of all members of the household to adopt a Cat
- you have your landlords permission to keep a pet. More information on what to do is available at https://www.consumer.vic.gov.au/housing/renting/applying-for-a-rental-property-or-room/pets-and-renting
- you have all the necessary bits and pieces to welcome your new family member, starting with a cat carrier to bring them home, a litter tray, litter, food and bowls as well as a bed, toys and scratchers
- you are ready to welcome them home NOW. We are unable to hold a cat for you if you are not ready to adopt.
All funds raised at Neko HQ are to benefit Maneki Neko Cat Rescue.
