About Isaac
Isaac is a superstar in fostercare. He arrived in foster care ready for pet life. Isaac is a gentle, friendly boy with such a sweet engaging personality.
Very little phases Isaac, he is the master chill. On his walks, Isaac is happy to amble along, checking out the neighbourhood, keen on inspecting the hard rubbish collections and munch on some grass. Isaac looks forward to his afternoon walk, timed perfectly to greet the commuters coming down his street after getting off the tram. He loves greeting the humans, hoping that some will stop to have a bit of a chat and a pat.
Isaac is also keen to meet all the doggos he can on his walks too. He is very enthusiastic and engaged, never wanting to miss out on anything that’s happening on the street.
In his foster home, Isaac is very relaxed and quickly adapted to his new life now that he is safe from the racetrack. Isaac loves to know what’s going on but is not a velcro dog. He is enthusiastic at walk times, when you get up in the morning or home from work. Otherwise, he is happy to settle on one of his beds, in the study, bedroom or living room. He is an expert at relaxation, roaching from day one. (Roaching is the art of sleeping upside-down. A sign that your hound is truly relaxed)
Isaac is a happy joyful hound in his foster home. He has discovered the delight of toys, squeaky ones being his favourite. He will zoom about the house with them, in part to entertain his humans.
Isaac has been tutored by Toby, a male grey of a similar age. They get along very well and share some play. Isaac and Toby enjoy each other’s company but Isaac is happy to take himself off to nap in a different room. We feel he will be happy to share his home with another suitable dog or be the only dog if his humans are home more often or not.
Issac is a very cuddly boy, enjoying full body hugs and a vigorous tickle. He loves being brushed and is very relaxed with handling. Isaac loves the car and settles immediately. He does however still need a bit of a bum lift to get up on the back seat. It’s a work in progress.
Isaac is an incredibly easy and adaptable dog that would suit most homes. He will be patient with children but just a bit too bouncy for the little ones.
Isaac would also suit an active home as he is a hound you can take anywhere. You might find he gets invited to the party before you.

Adoption details
Dogs are pack animals and Greyhounds, in particular, are very familiar with being surrounded by other dogs in their racing kennel environment. For this reason, when left alone without people or other dogs for company, some can be prone to separation anxiety which can manifest in destructive and/or noisy behaviour.
As a result we look to rehome dogs into households where they are not left on their own for more than 4 hours per day on a regular basis, without either people or another dog for company. We are happy discuss strategies such as a dog walker or doggy day care. Going to work with you is also a great option
