Sarsaparilla is a sweet, timid tortoiseshell girl who’s taken her time opening up, but with patience and care, she’s starting to make progress!

Nature
After spending some time in foster care, Sarsaparilla has just begun staying in the same room as her humans, a big step in her journey to trust. While she’s still very shy, Sarsaparilla has so much potential to blossom in the right environment. She’ll need a patient adopter who understands that she will take time to come out of her shell, but also one who understands that she may stay as she is and is willing to accept her as she is.

Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
Sarsaparilla is best suited to a calm, quiet home with no young children or dogs. She is easily scared and would be overwhelmed by a busy household. She may not be ready for full social interaction right away, but in a quieter space, her true personality could start to shine.

While she is currently in a multi-cat environment, Sarsaparilla may do better in a home with fewer cats, where she can build trust at her own pace. With fewer cats around, Sarsaparilla may become more comfortable, and she could eventually open up into the loving, sweet companion we know she can be.

Likes / Dislikes
Sarsaparilla’s favourite things are a calm, quiet atmosphere and the safety of hiding spots where she feels secure. She’s not yet a fan of petting or being held, but with time, she may grow more comfortable with gentle interaction. Sarsaparilla dislikes loud noises and sudden movements, so she needs a serene space to relax and explore at her own pace.

If you're looking to offer a sweet little cat the chance at her own family and are willing to give Sarsaparilla the time and space she needs to heal, you could be the purr-fect match for her. She may be scared now, but with your care, she’ll have the chance to discover her true, wonderful self. Sarsaparilla is a challenging but rewarding foster-to-adopt prospect for the right person.
