About Harold
Harold is a stunning 18 month old, black male domestic short hair with a personality as big as his heart. He may look like a tough guy, with a strong, bouncer-like build and a mean mug, but don't let his tough appearance fool you-Harold is a lover, not a fighter! Beneath that rugged exterior lies a sweet and affectionate cat who craves love and companionship.
This extremely calm and gentle giant is the kind of cat, although independent at times loves nothing more than spending quality time with his humans. When he's not charming everyone with his sweet, calm nature, he's indulging in one of his favorite pastimes: Sun gazzing from a cozy window sill.
Harold is also a wonderful fit for families with older children, who will give his independent streak consideration. He's looking for a family who will appreciate his calm, laid-back style and be ready to offer him the warm, loving home he deserves.
If you're looking for a cat who's as kind as he is sweet as he is strong, Harold is the perfect match. Ready to welcome this big-hearted panther into your life? He's waiting for you!
To book a meet and greet with this man mountain of a cat, Harold please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, Inquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
