Hi there, my name is Darcy, and I’m a sweet Rottweiler looking for a special home where I can feel safe, loved, and understood. I’m a little shy when it comes to meeting new people, and I tend to get nervous in new situations. I like to take my time getting to know people, so it helps if we can meet a few times before I feel fully comfortable. I’m also a bit head shy and don’t love it when people reach over my head quickly, so I really appreciate gentle, calm interactions.

Because I startle easily with sudden movements or loud noises, I would do best in a quiet, calm household with no young children. Older teens (15+) who can be patient and respectful of my space would be wonderful. I also need access to both indoor and outdoor spaces where I can relax and enjoy some time in the yard when I’m feeling comfortable.

Once I feel at ease and trust you, I’m a playful, loving companion! I adore playing with toys, and I’ll shower you with affection when I know you’re safe. It’s important to me that I meet any other dogs in the home first to make sure we get along. I’m looking for an experienced owner who can help me build my confidence with gentle encouragement and positive reinforcement.
