About Scooby Doo (On Trial)
Scooby is on trial in a new home 24/8. Please consider red, who is very similar http://www. Petrescue. Com. Au/view/120259 and our other dogs at www. Dogrescuenewcastle. Com. Au. . . Scooby doo is a 13 month old labrador x great dane x american staffy, although he does resemble a ridgeback cross. He's a beautifully natured dog with the ability to melt any heart. He’s extremely affectionate, loves nothing more than a belly rub and gets on well with other dogs, particularly larger dogs in similar size and energy as he tends lose interest fairly quickly in smaller dogs. Although we may think cats, rabbits and guinea pigs are cute and cuddly, scooby has a different opinion and wouldn't get on well with these animals. . . Still a big pup, he has plenty of energy therefore he requires walking on a daily basis, ideally both morning and afternoon and would suit somebody that enjoys the outdoors including jogging or walking. . . He’s toilet trained and understands basic command. His favourite past time is spending time with you and although he loves cuddling up inside, he’s happy to sleep outside in his kennel and understands when it’s time to “go to bed”. He doesn't enjoy being left home alone for long periods of time and in these situations will have a tendency to chew or dig. Therefore a home where are people usually around would be ideal or a home with another dog to keep him company. He rarely barks and loves people. . . . Scooby was attending training classes once a week and further training will be required and a home with plenty of time and patience. He learns quickly but does need to be reminded of his manners and will require a home where boundaries are in place although it is hard not to cave in to those big puppy dog eyes. In return he will provide plenty of fun, laughs and love. . . Highly excitable, this boisterous boy probably wouldn't suit a home with young or small children as he's still learning that jumping up and running off with their toys isn't acceptable behaviour and could tend to knock them over. He will be attending doggy day care once a week to relieve the boredom of being home alone all day and to give him the chance to have fun with other dogs. . . Scooby doo was very well named because he looks just like the big, lovable, mystery solving scooby doo from the cartoons. The only mystery about this guy is how such a beautiful dog could ever have wound up in the pound. He's such a beautiful boy and i really do hope that he finds a place to call home that will absolutely adore him. He's so special. . . . *** please see more photos of scooby at
