Keiko 🪷

The time has come for Foster to adopt. We are looking for a special home for Keiko that would be her foster carer who has the view to adopt her. We will provide you with lots of support. Keiko has undeniable trauma from her time spent used as a breeding dog, completely unsocilised and shut down. She has come a long way in care but we need a patient, caring person that understands she is going to take some time to settle into her new home. She needs a lot of love, a lot of patience and a safe home where she can learn to trust even more. Preferably we are looking for someone with the view to adopt so she wouldn't have to move again.

Important to note 📝
Keiko will not seek affection from you, this can take months of gaining trust with you. She is a scared dog that is still building her trust and confidence. She does enjoy being in the same room with her humans with access to inside and outside. She will copy other dogs in the house.

What we are seeking in her home...

▪️ You MUST have another friendly dog, Keiko is learning ques from friendly dogs and really enjoys being around them

▪️ Small backyard preferred (you must have a backyard) or the ability to make it smaller with panels. She feels safer in a smaller space.

▪️ Keiko is NOT looking to go for a walk, she may not ever be a dog that enjoys a walk but she is happy and satisfied playing in the backyard with a friendly dog. She is not high-energy and feels much safer with other dogs in a backyard for play/stimulation.

▪️No kids - while she has been in a foster home with a young child and has shown nothing but love towards kids. We are trying to minimise her stress by giving her the most calm and predictable environment for her.

▪️Cat friendly 🥰 🐈 Keiko also loves cats, if you have a cat she will well and truly do well with cats as friends also. This is not a requirement though!

Our team will provide you with lots of support, it's really time with her and everyday she learns to trust a little bit more. If you think you could give Keiko a home with you we would love to hear from you 💕
