All the way from Japan, meet Atari!

This distinguished gentleman may have a dignified air about him, but don't let that fool you- he's a goofy guy who's incredibly playful! Soft toys and toys that squeak are his favourite, and if he finds one he especially loves he'll proudly show it off to you in is mouth, waiting for all the praise and attention for doing such a good job! You may tend to find a few drool marks trailing behind him, or on his nose, or on your shoulder. If you're ok with a little drool he'll happily share with you!

True to his breed, Atari is loyal and intelligent. He walks to the beat of his own drum, and although he knows sit, shake and lies down on command... he'll only do it if he's in the mood! At only 2 years old, he's just beginning his teenage years, which means he's got the energy of a puppy mixed with the cheeky rebellious nature of a teen. If you're experienced with strong, intelligent breeds and can give him the training, attention, and love he needs, he'll join your family in a heartbeat!

As an Akita, he has a thick double coat that's as majestic as it is cozy. But that also means he'll need regular grooming to keep him looking his best. Don't worry though-brushing him a couple of times a week will help keep his coat soft and free of tangles (and trust us, he'll love the attention). During shedding season, he'll need a bit more care, but hey, that just means more cuddle time!

This luscious boy loves attention no matter who it comes from, adults, children, other dogs.... everyone! He'd love to go home to another dog friend if you've got one, and would be thrilled to go home with secondary school aged children or older. Please bring everyone at home along to the meet and greet (including resident dogs!)
