About Conko
Meet Conko, a sweet and serene 2-and-a-half-year-old female tortoiseshell cat who's looking for her forever home.
This calm and affectionate girl has a chill vibe and is ready to find a cozy space where she can truly relax and be herself.
Conko loves the quiet life and is on the hunt for a home that's peaceful and laid-back-perfect for a cat who's all about that cool, calm, and collected lifestyle.
Conko is more of a sophisticated lady who prefers adult company, so a home with older kids, if any, would be ideal. She's not one to seek out a lot of attention or perform tricks, but instead enjoys the simple pleasures in life, like lounging on a sunny windowsill.
If you're looking for a low-pressure companion who's happy to simply hang out and be your chill family member, Conko might just be your perfect match. Let her be the newest addition to your calm and serene home! 🌞🐾
To book a meet and greet with Conko please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
