Meet Tucker, aka Mr Snugglepuss. Tucker earned his name from his infamous move 'tuck and roll' where he pounces on all of his toys and does a roly poly while holding them to his chest.
Tucker works overtime at the biscuit factory: he will make them in the chair, in the air, on pillows, on your legs, anywhere, anytime; he's biscuit boy! Tucker is a big snuggle bunmy who will lay on your chest and purr his little head off while he snuggles in. If given half a chance he might even groom your hair (hello personal hairdresser! In this economy — we think yes!)
This handsome chappie gets along famously with other cats. He is great around kids and knows to bring his claws in. He warms up to people quickly. He hasn’t been exposed to dogs yet but we have high hopes if he meets one — there's every likelihood he will make himself another bestie in no time.
Tucker is just the best!
* If you already have pets in your home, a slow and gradual introduction is a must, to ensure your pets and your new kitten have the best chance at a successful integration
* Kittens love company and do best in homes where they are not left for long hours without people.
* Please apply by completing the SAFE application form from our website or the link above.
MEDICAL NOTES
Adoption fee includes vet check, first vaccination*, flea and worm treatment, microchip including the transfer of ownership, and sterilisation at a SAFE approved vet at 6 months of age (see list below).
*Kittens may require further vaccination(s) to complete the full vaccination course. This will be at the cost of the new owner and is not included in the adoption fee. Please enquire for more information.
ADOPTION DETAILS
To apply to adopt, please complete a SAFE Cat Adoption Enquiry Form via our website. You will be advised if your chosen kitten is still available and then put in contact with the carer for a chance to ask further questions. If a meet-and-greet is then arranged, we will email the adoption paperwork and payment instructions to you prior to this. Please note payment must be made before adoption trial starts and we are unable to take cash payment.
Our adoption process includes a two-week trial to ensure your chosen pet is the right fit for your home. After a successful trial period, SAFE Bunbury will arrange transfer of ownership on your new pet's microchip and email copies of their vet records out to you.
When adopting a kitten under 6 months old, one of the following approved vet clinics should be selected by the adopter to arrange for his/her sterilisation by the age of 6 months. The sterilisation surgery is included in the adoption fee:
Blair Street Veterinary Hospital, Bunbury
Busselton Veterinary Hospital, Busselton
Ninth Street Vet Clinic, Harvey
Halls Head Small Animal Clinic, Halls Head
Caryn Vet Hospital, Edgewater
Kingsley Veterinary Hospital, Kingsley
South Metropolitan TAFE Vet Clinic, Bentley (during semester)
Swan Veterinary Hospital, Midvale
Albany Vet Hospital, Albany
Swans Vet Service, Esperance
Please ask us for more information on arranging sterilisation of your pet if you live outside the Bunbury area.
