Melvin

Melvin is the sweetest kelpie. He is a gentle and affectionate boy who needs a quiet home with someone who wants to give him lots of cuddles! When you meet this boy your heart melts. He just wants to nuzzle up right beside you and get a hug.

He’s so silly and awkward and we just love him. A typical gangly young kelpie who will fill your day with laughs and cuddles 🥰

Melvin is fantastic with dogs of all ages, sizes and breeds. He is a sweet and cuddly boy, but at the moment quite timid. Melvin is getting braver and braver every day though.

On his walks he is doing great but is easily spooked by sudden movements and loud noises. So someone willing to go slow with him with this is essential. This is okay though because he’s smart and eager to please.

He loves to meet dogs on walks and is getting more confident with meeting people. Another dog in the home would make this boys progress go through the roof!

We ask Melvin goes to a home with someone who knows the deal with kelpies- active mentally, active physically! Kelpie experience would be fantastic.

Kids are definitely too much for this shy little angel. Teens and above and a quiet home please. He doesn’t take long to win over around new people, if you sit down he’ll climb into your lap and lots of scratches and pats will have him as your best friend quickly because he ADORES affection.
