About Floyd
Meet Floyd, a handsome and highly affectionate American Staffordshire Terrier - or Amstaff for short - with a heart as big as his personality. He was born on February 28, 2022 and weighs 25 kgs.
Floyd embodies the classic traits of the American Staffordshire Terrier - devotion, reliability, and sociability - and true to his breed, he is also athletic, strong and agile.
Floyd has impressed his foster mum, a very experienced dog handler and carer, with his sweet temperament, eagerness to please and all-round sociability - and he's a dream to take to Bunnings where the first few photos and the two videos were taken.
His foster mum has this to say about him:
"Floyd has a gorgeous nature and is very well-mannered. He gets on well with all my dogs and is gentle and sweet with the puppies.
"He's always the first dog to greet me in the morning and he loves to follow me around while I'm doing chores during the day.
"Floyd's ambition is to be someone's bestie. He loves humans of every shape and size and he'd make a fantastic companion dog for someone who's at home most of the time. He travels beautifully in the car, too."
Although Floyd is great with people and other dogs, he's not keen on livestock, poultry or cats.
He will do best in a home where he's regarded as an integral part of the family and where he has company, human and/or canine, all the time. If left completely alone in the backyard, he frets and may jump the fence in the hope of finding his family.
He enjoys regular exercise so daily outings and/or a backyard with a compatible canine companion would meet this need.
If you're ready to welcome a devoted, loving companion who will seamlessly blend into family life, Floyd may just be your perfect match.
