On Hold
About Missy - 8 Month Old Bull Arab X
Missy is a loving 8-month-old mixed breed with a playful and sweet personality, looking for her forever home.
This friendly pup adores playing with her foster sibling (a 2-year-old Cattle dog) and loves nothing more than snuggling up on the couch with her humans.
Missy is seeking a home with secure fencing, a backyard and a family who is home often to spend plenty of time with her. She’s still a puppy at heart and will need someone committed to her ongoing training. She already knows basic commands like sit, shake, bed, and she’s working on her toilet training so she may have the occasional accident. She is very food driven so training her should be easy but she is still working on her manners and training.
On walks, Missy may pull on the lead. She may also bark or growl when she sees other dogs, so patience and consistent lead training are essential. She would benefit from slow, positive introductions to new dogs. Missy would benefit from some distractions/entertainment when left alone (such as a Kong filled with treats) to prevent any undesirable behaviour such as chewing items she probably shouldn't. This is common puppy behaviour and should cease over time and with continued positive re-enforcement.
Missy currently lives with her foster sibling and loves play-fighting or napping together. She’d thrive in a home with another dog of similar size, but introductions should be done slowly to ensure she feels comfortable. If she’s in an only-dog household, she will need someone home most of the time to keep her company, as she’s very people-oriented and doesn’t like being left alone for long periods. She will be your snuggle buddy for life!
She’s best suited to a family with children over 7 and would love a home where someone works from home or is around often as she isn’t happy being left alone. Missy is a gentle, affectionate girl who’s eager to learn and will thrive in a nurturing environment where she feels safe and supported.
Missy’s Ideal Home:
• A patient, understanding family who can provide her with love and help her adjust to her new home
• At least an hour of exercise a day
• Someone committed to ongoing training and socialisation.
• A family home most of the time (preferably someone who works from home).
• Kids aged 7 or older.
• Ideally, another dog of similar size for company and to play!
• Not tested on cats
Missy Highlights:
• Loves small toys and enjoys a treat!
• Affectionate and snuggly—a true cuddle bug.

Missy is a gentle, beautiful girl who deserves a happy, loving home where she can grow, feel safe, and learn that the world isn’t so scary. Could you be her forever family?
