Miguel - 11 Week Old Staffy X Kelpie

Miguel is a healthy, happy and bouncy puppy.

He is food driven and eager to learn “everything”. Skills so far include mastering the art of sitting on command, which he will be very happy to demonstrate that skill when his new family come to meet him.

Favourite pastime is chewing on his Kong filled with nutritious treats and playing tug with his fur sibling and foster parents, laying on his back and having belly rubs, an ear rub and most of all a cuddle in your arms.

Miguel is in the process of crate training and sleeps all night in his crate, and he has also shown positive response to ear, eye and nail care. He is successfully learning all aspects of toilet training, will require ongoing dedication encouragement and patience to master this skill.

As Miguel has shown to be very intelligent and keen to learn he would benefit from attending puppy school to give him the best start to life. His new family will be committed to ongoing training with positive reinforcement. They will ensure Miguel is always part of the family and included in family life.

This adorable puppy is brave and confident, currently in foster care with his brother Juan and 3 other large resident dogs. Miguel is very quickly learning to live with 4 resident cats but untested with pocket pets or chickens.

Overview:
- Expected size: Medium to Large breed
- Suitable for children over 8 years
- Requires a yard with secure fencing for him to grow and learn in and is not suitable for apartment living.
- His new family will be committed to ongoing training & include him as part of the family

His adoption fee is $700 which includes desexing when he is old enough. It also includes his first two vaccinations. He has been treated for fleas and worms, and is microchipped.

Miguel is in foster care in Hunter Valley, NSW. Since he is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. She'll need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing when he's 5 to 6 months old.
