Meet Bear 🐻
This sweet boy has had a rough start, left at a vet as a tiny kitten 🐱 and has been in our care ever since. He earned his name because when held and cuddled, he gives the BEST bear hugs! It's truly heartwarming ❤️. However, once he's put down, a different side emerges. Bear is understandably scared 😿 and hisses and growls whenever humans approach. We're working hard to help him feel safe, but he needs a very special, experienced owner to continue his journey.

Bear is currently on Clomicalm 💊 and we're also introducing calming food. It's still early days, so we haven't seen the full effects yet. He's very food motivated 🍗 and will happily take treats from your hand. He can even be petted, and once he relaxes into it, he's a drooling, purring machine – it's incredibly cute! 😍 The challenge is the initial approach; he's very wary and reactive.

The good news is that Bear is friendly with other cats 🐱 and loves playing chasey! A home with another feline friend would be ideal for him.

Bear needs a patient, understanding, and experienced owner who is willing to work with him through his fear. This won't be an instant love connection, but with time, patience, and a gentle approach, Bear has the potential to blossom into a loving companion ❤️.
