About Kloe Newhaven
TO APPLY FOR ADOPTION PLEASE SEND IN APPLICATION FORM AVAILABLE BELOW:
https://www.victoriandogrescue.org.au/adopt/
My name is Kloe and I am a three year old Border Collie who loves people
and other dogs. I am a little wary when I meet other fur babies for the
first time but if taken slowly, I can go at my own pace to make friends,
we will then be friends forever. I have even lived with cats and they
put me in my place very quickly and I do not fuss about them at all. I
just love people of all sizes and I'm very affectionate with them.
I do like to exercise as I am an active pup. My lead skills need
working on as I have lived on a property so have not needed to be lead
trained. I have met other dogs on walks and I'm fine with them saying
hello, though do prefer if they don't jump on me as it scares me and I
may react. If I am off for a run, I do come back to you when called as
I know you want me for some loving or treats maybe! My house training is
top notch, I go outside to do my business.
Grooming is ideal as my fur is just lovely and needs to be kept that
way. The groomer says I am very good at getting groomed but I'm not too
keen on the hair dryer.
I am just a super loving girl, who loves to have a chat with people when
they visit, get super happy when I see my humans, love going for walks
and to play with any toy/pot/ball that you give me. I don't jump fences
and try and escape as I love my humans too much to want to leave their
side. I do not resource guard my food but I like to hide my bones just
in case I need them a bit later on.
My one wish is to have someone to give me lots of pats and cuddles and
attention to settle in. I have a love of teddy bears and will snuggle
with them - I love them so much they do wear out quickly.
Please adopt me and I will make you the happiest human with my
personality, love and affection.

All our dogs are desexed, C5 vaccinated with intranasal, microchipped,
wormed, and flea treated. All necessary vetwork such as dentals,
surgery, eye treatment are also carried out. We are no longer heartworm
testing as we have not had one positive test since we began in 2006. If
a dog comes to us on heartworm treatment this is continued.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions. Weight: 23kg.
Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer free assistance for six weeks for any issues, a lifetime takeback policy with full refund of the adoption fee, and will always be available to offer advice.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.

Please note that we do not take/make telephone calls prior to receiving an application.
Commonly asked questions and their answers are provided when you email us. Unfortunately we usually will not have time to reply to enquiries in more detail and will give priority to completed applications over enquiries. Priority will also be given to typed applications which are easier for us to read and to copy relevant parts.
We look forward to receiving your application.
