About Nutmeg
Introducing Nutmeg, a wonderful canine companion who combines intelligence, affection, and a playful attitude all in one charming and furry package. With a stunning coat and a natural love for humans, Nutmeg is a great addition to a family looking for a furry best friend. He brings joy and energy into the home, making him the ideal partner for both playtime and quiet moments on the sofa.
Nutmeg's history of being well-loved shines through in his behaviour. He's had some basic training and demonstrates an eagerness to please, making him a responsive and willing student for owners ready to provide him with further guidance. While his youthful enthusiasm sometimes translates to pulling on the leash around those fascinating lamp posts, a little focused leash training will help him polish those walking manners. He's a bundle of energy outdoors but possesses a soft side that craves those heartwarming cuddles.
Currently thriving in foster care with a family that has young children, Nutmeg showcases his adaptable nature and intelligence. In a short time, he's already picked up on various training cues, a testament to his sharp mind and willingness to fit seamlessly into family life. Nutmeg has proven himself to be both incredibly smart and eager to bond with his human counterparts.
Nutmeg has developed a great routine with his foster family, which includes a long morning walk. Once he's had his walk, Nutmeg is happy to hang out around the house, and does a fair bit of snoozing the day away. Most evenings, his foster family gives him another short walk after dinner, and then he curls up on the sofa and sleeps through the night with absolutely no issues.
Nutmeg is very gentle at taking food and playing and really is a super dog.
If you're seeking a lovable, trainable, and energetic companion who will thrive on engagement and bring endless joy into your household, Nutmeg is ready to be your loyal friend. Whether it's a game of fetch in the yard or snuggling inside on a rainy day, Nutmeg's versatility and heartfelt devotion make him an exceptional pet waiting to find his new family.

Adoption details
Please do not apply to adopt via our animals' PetRescue profile.
Follow the links below to be directed to the Wollongong City Council website, and find your preferred animal's online profile.
Once in the online profile, scroll down and click the link to complete an adoption application. Once received, a member of our team will be in touch to discuss your application and suitability for your preferred animal.
If we deem the animal to be suitable for your home and lifestyle, an in-person meet and greet may be organised. Should your meet and greet be a success, you can take your new furry friend home that day or following their desexing surgery. Our team will manage all your animal's paperwork, including ownership and vaccination documentation.
