About Fifi
Hi, oh gosh this is very exciting but I'm very nervous chatting to you.........
So I love my people who live in my foster home and will love my new furever family but I'm not really sure of lots of people or crowds.
I would love a home where I can simply be me, and hang out at home (often on the couch) with my humans and just be loved on.
My name is Fifi and I am a 2 years and 8 months old Miniature Poodle and currently weigh 4.8kgs
My foster mum says while she doesn't have a ruler, that I am under knee height.
I have come into care and now my foster mum said that I've retired from breeding and that all the vet work has been done to ensure I have no more babies.
I have spent the last 2 years and 6 months as a breeder and therefore a lot of things make me very nervous when I 'm experiencing them for the first time.
I'm not a dog that will be wanting to go for walks or the beach etc. my home is my safe zone and my world and I would love a home where my people feel that way as well.
I'm looking for a family that will be understanding of me first going to their home - give me time to settle and gain my confidence.
Once I do have my confidence in the home and with you i will reach out and ask for pats and absolutely love having scratches under the chin - i could make you my slave for hours doing that!
I would love a home where someone is home either works from home, part time work, casual worker, recently retired, doesn't need to work etc etc. I don't have separation anxiety but I do like to follow my humans around everywhere where you are and supervise what your doing.
I would love a home were I can have access outside as well to go out and sunbake, run around, sniff around and do my lady business.
Once I'm comfortable you will see my playful side come out and I will start to show you zommies, and I will pounce on a fluffy toy or if there is another dog who would love to play with me I would loved to jump around with them but it may take time to gain my confidence.
I currently live with a 11 year old boy - he can be loud or quiet depends on what he is doing - the first days he scared me but now I'm used to it so i will often just lay on the couch (or on top of the couch) and just watch him.
I would love another dog to show me the normal dog ropes and gain confidence from them when they do things that I'm not used to doing.
I am toilet trained
I currently sleep on my foster mum's bed and absolutely love it! She says she barely knows I'm there, I'm such a good girl (but she says that once in a while I like to remind her with a wet nose touching the leg or arm - she says it's creepy - i just told her it's me making sure she is sleeping!
I am not tested with cats but more then likely would be nervous and unsure at first.
Once I'm more comfortable, I love to lie next to you on the couch while you are watching TV.
I do have a coat that will require grooming so that is something the rescue said i need to point out and remind my potential family its a commitment.
So I'm looking for a calm house where I will be allowed the time to settle and my humans will continue to let me confidence grow - really I'm calling out for my new furever home to be homebodies who want to hang with me!

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption - each bio will state if available for adoption - please check before applying.
