About 11299 - Cairo
🐫🏺 MEET CAIRO 🏺🐫
I'm inquisitive, friendly and very snuggly, and I absolutely love love people!
Nature
Cairo was one of a litter of four that were orphans and they were hand fed bottle babies for a long time. This bonds them with their hooman mum and, of course makes for very confident and friendly kittens.
Cairo is the last to be adopted because she came into care with a bad fracture that could not be repaired, so her best option was amputation. Well this little girl has bounced back, literally! She runs around like she always had just the three legs.
She holds a special part of her Foster Mum's heart as she has cared for a number of little tripods and always finds them all to be that little bit special. It's like they know they have been given a second chance of living a good life. All they want to do is thank you for saving them with lots of purrs and cuddles. Foster Mum finds it extremely hard to say goodbye to these special kittens!
Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
Cairo is living in a house full of similar age kittens, three resident cats and a medium size dog. The dog is quite lively but has been brought up with cats since being a pup so is really gentle with them.
She has also met a small toddler who was able to hold Cairo on her lap and she was fine, although soon wanted to wriggle off. She has met different family members when they come to visit and is fine with people coming and going and shows no fear of new people.
Likes / Dislikes
Cairo loves lots of little toys to play with and dangly toys, small toy mice and also running in and out of a play tunnel.
So far, there is anything she dislikes as yet. Even the vacuum cleaner is OK. She may need time to get used to loud voices as she is living in a fairly quiet home presently.
My PURR-fect home would be with company please. I have usually got a hooman home with me so to be alone all day is something I would not like. Another furry friend would be lovely if the hoomans are away all day. A cat-savvy dog who loves to chill with his cat friend. I am sure I would be happy with a family with small children also as I am such a confident puss.
Perth Rescue Angels recommends all cats are indoor only, unless they have access to a secure cat enclosure.

Gender: Female
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Colour: Tabby & White
DOB: 30/09/2024
Adoption Fee: $350
*Cairo's adoption fee includes vet check, sterilisation, vaccination, microchip, flea and worm treatment.
Medical Notes: Before coming into care, Cairo suffered an injury that resulted in a fracture of her tibia bone to her back right leg which had healed incorrectly and required amputation. She spent several weeks building up her exercise levels and was given the all clear by the vet. Due to this injury, she’ll need to be inside only, although access to a fully enclosed shaded cat run would be acceptable.
