About Rosie (On Trial)
Rosie went on trial in a new home on 4/6/11. See more than 60 other dogs at www. Dogrescuenewcastle. Com. Au
rosie is a 12 month old weimaraner x koolie. She is a very loving and cuddly girl who would love nothing more than to curl up in your lap and be patted all day. Unfortunately, she is much too big for that!. . . Rosie recently turned one which means she still has a lot of puppy playfulness and curiosity about her which only adds to her charm. Being a weimaraner, rosie is a very intelligent girl who knows how to sit and drop and will definitely benefit from further training under the guidance of a willing and patient new owner. Rosie enjoys spending her time inside with her new foster family while they are home but is happy to amuse herself outside laying in the sun (usually with a big juicy bone) while they are away. She likes to be inside at night on her mat next to the heater to watch a bit of t. V but sleeps outside in her kennel when her family goes to bed. Rosie is house-trained and would be able to sleep inside at night once the weather becomes a bit cooler. . . . She was reluctantly surrendered to dog rescue newcastle after her owners were no longer able to keep her. Rosie is a well behaved girl who loves people and other dogs. We believe that rosie would be a great pet for a family or someone who has another dog to keep her company. She is well behaved around children but tends to jump up when she becomes excited and may knock down smaller children. We are trying to train her not to jump up and she is so far responding well to corrections. Rosie is a very active dog who needs to be walked everyday to keep her stimulated. Although she has a number of toys she is much more people focused and doesn't seem to play with them for very long before she tries to get back into your lap. She does walk well on the lead, but, being a weimaraner she can pull a little bit if she gets on to a scent. We have been training her to walk properly on a lead without tugging. She will respond well to further training and even obedience classes to challenge her and keep her entertained. Rosie really is a wonderful dog who loves affection and aims to please. She will need to go to a forever home where she has a decent sized backyard and an owner who is willing to spend time walking her and keeping her mind stimulated. If you think that you can give rosie the loving home she deserves call her foster carers amie, cheryle and russell on 0409-994-084 or email afry88@live. Com. Au. Rosie is able to be brought to newcastle to be viewed at any time during the weekend. She is currently in foster care in muswellbrook, past singleton. She is available for adoption interstate
