About Penny
Meet Penny, a gentle and spirited two-year-old Tibetan Spaniel who can win over your heart with time and patience. This tiny lady has faced some challenges but has shown remarkable resilience and is making strides toward becoming the confident companion she is meant to be.
Although Penny is an anxious soul, her progress is heartening. Being picked up is still a bit scary, but she is responding very positively to gentle and loving attention.
Penny is most comfortable with other small dogs and enjoys their company, feeling reassured by the presence of canine friends. Larger breeds, however, can be intimidating to her. Due to her nervousness, Penny is not yet walking on a lead, but with consistent training and positive handling, she can look forward to a future of outdoor adventures.
The ideal family for Penny will be understanding and equipped with the patience to gradually build her confidence. With time, steady human companionship, and encouragement, Penny will blossom into a faithful and loving partner.
If you're a compassionate dog lover ready to dedicate time and love to a little dog who craves comforting companionship, Penny could be your perfect match. Nurturing Penny in her journey means you’re not just bringing home a pet—you're welcoming a loyal friend who truly deserves her confidence.

Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
