About Cheddar Chimpunk
Meet Chipmunk – The Sweetest Shepsky Around! He was the tiny runt of his litter and almost didn’t make it, but he’s a fighter and proved everyone wrong.
Looking for a puppy with the perfect mix of brains, beauty, and pure joy? Meet Chipmunk, the Shepsky (German Shepherd x Husky) who will steal your heart faster than he steals your spot on the couch! (Well he can’t get up yet, but he’s trying)
This sweet, well-behaved little guy is the total package—playful but polite, smart but snuggly, and always ready for an adventure (or a nap, depending on the vibe). He’s got that perfect puppy energy: fun-loving and curious, but not the kind of chaos that leaves you questioning your life choices. Just sometimes he forgets he is a puppy and not a shark, so wear some sturdy socks. If you’re looking for a pup who will bring endless joy, loyalty, and cuddles into your life, Sir Cheddar Chipmunk is your guy.
Why Chipmunk is the best:
• Super smart – Already picking up on training like a pro! We are learning sit, drop, settle and heel.
• Great manners – A polite little dude who just wants to be your best friend. No screaming for attention with Chipmunk, he just waits until you’re ready for a play
• Adventure buddy – Loves leaving the house and driving around, playtime, and exploring, but also knows how to chill. He is much loved by everyone who gets to pat or hold him
• A total sweetheart – Loves humans, dogs, and probably even the mailman. And he gets invited to playdates with the neighbour’s cats and kids.
My ideal home: If you love running, hiking or daily long walks, congrats! You passed Level 1. I need plenty of exercise, adventure and mental challenges to ensure I am well balanced and happy. Imagine I’m a super brainy Athlete, a quick lap around the block won’t do. I’m looking for someone who loves training and will set me boundaries. If someone is home more often than not or I can join you during the day, that would be pretty amazing. I am not an apartment dog and will thrive with a yard or bigger property to stretch my legs.
My energy level: I am like a well balanced espresso shot. Strong, lively and ready to go! Overall? Once I grow out of my puppy naps I will be high-energy but not reckless, always ready to work, play, and learn. Give me a job, a challenge, and plenty of love, and you’ll have the ultimate adventure companion—one that’s equal parts athlete, genius, and goofball. But please don’t make me sit at home all day.
My suitability to children: I am very popular with kids! They neighbours tend to knock and ask me over for playdates. I do have puppy teeth though and like to nibble, so they should be dog savvy and know I mean well. I will be a big and strong boy!
My suitability to other cats or dogs: My foster parents made sure I met plenty of cats since I was a tiny baby. Once I tried to play a bit too rough and got swiped, but I learned my lesson. And I just looooove the dogs I met so far including my foster brother. I love bothering him all day long and playing bitey face.
Sir Cheddar Chipmunk is so popular, we now keep a little calendar to keep track of all his playdates with neighbours. So make sure you get in quick to adopt this real social butterfly.

We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
