About Nigella
We at Home2Home believe everyone deserves the joy that cat guardianship brings! We love seeing wonderful cats matched with loving adopters, and we don’t want adoption fees to be a barrier to you bringing a loving cat into your heart and home. So if Nigella sounds like the cat for you, we ask you to nominate your adoption fee amount. There is no minimum or maximum amount required, and all adoption fees continue to fund PetRescue’s life-saving programs that support pets and people!>/i>
Nigella is the ideal mix of independent and affectionate, a gentle soul who enjoys the quiet company of her favourite humans. She won’t rush to greet strangers at the door; she’ll observe from a comfortable distance to start with, but when she trusts you, she’s all in, settling in by your side and sharing peaceful moments together.
This beautiful, long-haired queen has a love for life’s simple pleasures. Soft blankets? She’ll claim them. A sunny spot on the floor? She’ll bask in it like a feline sun goddess. And when the evening rolls around, she’s right there for TV time, curling up beside her human, sometimes between their legs, making her presence known in the most heartwarming way. She may not be a lap cat, but she thrives on connection, especially during her favourite brushing sessions—leaning in, closing her eyes, and fully embracing the moment.
Nigella’s ideal home is calm and predictable, where she can fully enjoy her structured daily routine. She starts her mornings early, greeting the day with a visit to the balcony before returning for some snuggles over morning coffee. Afternoons are spent napping in cozy spots or stretching out in the sun. As evening approaches, she becomes more social, claiming her place beside her human for a quiet night of companionship. She’s an indoor-only cat, happiest in a home where she can be the sole feline queen without the stress of other pets.
One of Nigella’s most endearing traits is her ability to fully embrace relaxation. Whether she’s rolling onto her back mid-brush in pure bliss or stretching luxuriously in a sunbeam, she reminds everyone to slow down and savour the moment. Her luxurious coat requires regular brushing, which she absolutely adores—turning grooming time into yet another bonding ritual.
If you’re home often and looking for a loyal, affectionate, and quietly social companion, Nigella may just be your ideal match. She’s waiting for a calm, loving home where she can continue her sun-soaked lounging, evening snuggles, and gentle companionship with a human who truly appreciates her unique and endearing ways.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
