Derby is a confident, affectionate, and playful little man who is always ready for fun! He lives for toys—especially his beloved ball—and would happily spend his days chasing, fetching, and playing. While he adores human companionship, he’s also independent and great at keeping himself entertained.

This clever boy is crate-trained and knows how to settle quickly when it’s time to relax. Whether he’s curled up on the couch after a big play session or eagerly waiting for his next game of fetch, Derby is an absolute joy to have around.

Now, he’s ready to find his perfect forever home where he can be showered with love, playtime, and plenty of cuddles!

🏡 Derby’s Ideal Home:
✔️ Someone with experience in brachycephalic (flat-faced) breeds who understands their unique needs.
✔️ Indoor access with air conditioning is a must, especially during warmer months.
✔️ Derby has met both adults and children and is friendly with everyone! However, due to his bulldozer-style play, he may not be suited for very young kids who could accidentally get knocked over when he’s in full toy-chasing mode.
✔️ Derby currently lives in a busy multi-dog household, once he gets over his initial silly business, he is fine with other dogs.

🐶 Energy Level:
Derby enjoys the best of both worlds—he loves couch time and snuggles, but he’s also an outdoor enthusiast who thrives on chasing toys and going for walks. A mix of play and relaxation will keep him happy and fulfilled.

🐾 Suitability to Other Pets:
Dogs: A home where he’s the only dog is ideal, but with the right introductions, he could live with another confident dog. He currently shares with multiple dogs and provided his humans are dog savvy this works.

Cats: Derby is untested with cats, but given his strong chase drive, a cat-free home may be the best fit.
