About Simba Red
Simba is a truly sweet young boy. He's curious, a bit smoochy and cuddly, and loves to sleep between our pillows, or sometimes on one.
He's very autonomous and independent and was able to entertain himself with a good variety of toys and other accessories while he was the only kitten in the house. And is one of those cats who sometimes kicks himself in his own head when playing with certain things. So, he's a hoot to play with! He now enjoys the company of his new friend, Kola White (also available for adoption). And loves to be with his human; curious about what you're doing, or opening packages for you, and protecting you when you go to the toilet. Or for some downtime.
Simba is a great visual learner, which makes it easy to move him to appropriate toys and scratching posts, etc. Not super vocal, but has a healthy little screm when he wants to let you know he needs something. He's been getting more and more curious about outside, and even staged an escape through the laundry window this week. He also doesn't mind a nice treat... Put these two things together and it could make him a good candidate for harness training. Or just enjoying time outside in an enclosure, and some cat safe plants in the house if possible.
He's fit in really well with our two adult cats, and would be a great addition to any cat home, and possibly even one with dogs. Would need to do a couple of in person meet ups if this was the case. He has made friends with a second foster kitten of similar age, Kola White. So they could be adopted together if you're looking for a duo. They're not a bonded pair, just good mates. But because of his young age, he'll need to go go to a home with at least one other cat to avoid single kitten syndrome. Because of his strong autonomy, he wouldn't be ideal for a home with young children who might not recognise his boundaries.
Something of note.. Simba came to us with what seemed to be a damaged tail. It tucks around under itself in a kind of a spiral. Images attached. We're unsure how it happened. It could've been either an accident of some kind, or it was inherited. We just don't know. But it doesn't faze him in the slightest. The vet said it's all good, and it makes him that little bit cuter than he already is.
Simba Red is a healthy raw/high quality fed kitten who has been wormed, flea treated, vaccinated, desexed and microchipped (microchip #xxxxxxxx, source #RE101165). He is available for adoption. His adoption fee also includes his second vaccination at one of our rescue vets.
