When CandyDara was in the pound the ranger called saying this dog needed desperate help. An amazing bunch of Starting Over Dog Rescue carers swung into action to get her to Collingwood Emergency Vets where she went into labour. There she had a caesarean, and two puppies arrived into the world. The puppies didn’t survive, there were complications; they were tiny. It was a sad time for her, and horrible to watch. There were lots of treats and good girls everywhere that week.

I found a breast lump. One was enough I didn’t bother searching for more. The vet felt four. So CandyDara had surgery to remove the 6 lumps and a few suspicious looking warts. Her pathology came back last week….she was clear. All were removed with good margins too.

Now let’s talk about the amazing dog who is now ready to go home!

Honestly this is one absolutely beautiful creature. She’s kind, sweet and so so loving.

She adores kids; intensely.

She has been near our cats who refuse to interact with dogs.

She is great with other dogs too.

Her zoomies are an absolute thrill to watch. Loves chasing rabbits.

She has absolutely no road sense whatsoever. She is also absolutely terrified of thunder.

CandyDara is toilet trained. She has been known to make the odd mistake here though.

Her recall is great

She is looking for that someone special to hang with, to sit and sleep beside. To share everything she has learnt through life, to share her love.
