About Shaq
đŸ Meet Miss Shaq! đŸ
Shaq is a bright and curious little pup, still discovering the world around her. Whether sheâs exploring the backyard (especially after the rainâso many smells!) or cruising the neighborhood safely in her pram, sheâs always eager for adventure.
This confident, inquisitive girl approaches new people and dogs with enthusiasm and has already figured out that the kitchen is the magical place where food appears! Sheâs also an enthusiastic chewer, so sheâll need guidance on whatâs appropriateâthough she happily works away at long-lasting chews like goat horns and bully sticks.
Shaq gets so excited for mealtime that she weaves between your feet and topples over in pure anticipation! And if she ever gets a little cranky before bed, a bit of Olivia Dean seems to work like magic. đ¶đ€
Above all, Shaq is a loving companion who greets every morning with kisses for her foster carers and dog sibling.
đĄ Shaqâs Ideal Home:
â
Someone home often to continue her socialization and training.
â
An owner familiar with bully/staffy breeds who can meet her needs.
â
A home where sheâs an indoor dog and part of the family.
â
Plenty of toys and enrichment to keep her busy.
â
Puppy school would be a great fitâsheâs highly food-motivated and eager to learn!
Shaq is learning how to settle on her own and is comfortable napping in her puppy pen. She would benefit from continued structure to help her grow into a well-rounded adult dog.
đ Energy Level:
MediumâShaq loves to play, explore, and sniff all the new things! While sheâs not a high-energy working breed, sheâll need daily outings to continue building her confidence and social skills. Playdates with other friendly puppies or dogs would be a great bonus.
đ¶ Suitability to Children:
Shaq is still a playful, excitable pup who can be a bit mouthy. Sheâd do best with dog-savvy kids who can calmly redirect her, and younger children should be supervised to ensure she doesnât mistake little fingers for chew toys!
đŸ Suitability to Other Pets:
Shaq currently lives with a 3.5-year-old cattle/staffy mixâthey love a good game of bitey-face and play quite roughly! Any resident dog should be confident, tolerant, and able to guide Shaq in learning appropriate play.
She is untested with cats.
If youâre looking for a fun, affectionate, and adventurous pup to join your family, Miss Shaq canât wait to meet you! đ¶â€ïž

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
