Meet Savannah,
Looking for a fun-loving, adventure-seeking, cuddle-giving superstar? Look no further because Savannah is here to steal your heart (and maybe your spot on the couch)!
This gorgeous girl isn’t just a pretty face - she’s smart, social, and always up for an adventure. Whether your home is a whirlwind of excitement or a peaceful retreat, Savannah will fit right in. She’s a pro at adapting to any environment and is always happy to be part of the action.
Savannah is best suited for an experienced owner, not just because of her size but also because of her breed mix. She thrives with active people or families who love long walks, fun training sessions, and a good old-fashioned game of fetch. She’s already got some commands under her belt and loves to keep her skills sharp!
She’s friendly, happy, and affectionate, with just the right amount of playful energy. She’s confident, curious, and sometimes a little boisterous, but that just adds to her charm! Bonus points if you love a good grooming session because Savannah adores being brushed and pampered like the queen she is.
If you’re ready for a loyal doggo who will bring fun, energy, and endless love into your life, Savannah is waiting to meet you!
Ideal Home: Savannah is best suited to live in a house or on a farm/acreage, with a medium to large yard & high, secure fencing.
Access to inside the home on occasion would be ideal so that Savannah can spend time with her new family & feel loved.
Family: Savannah is open to meet kids from 8 years & up. Reason for this is that she can be boisterous & may accidentally knock smaller kids over, in addition she is also quite a large dog.
Savannah is fine to live with people who work part-time hours.
Furry Friends: Savannah is best to be the only dog in the home. It is very clear that she received minimal to no socialisation training in her previous home. She has the potential to be dog social but this won't happen overnight & would be a process that she & her new home would need to embark on together with the help of a professional trainer.
As we cannot test, we are unsure how Savannah would go living with or meeting cats/pocket pets. This would be up to the discretion of her new owners.
Training & Development: Savannah would benefit from post-adoption training such as training at home to cover basic commands/obedience - while she doesn't always jump, she may sometimes place her paws on you to say hello.
Savannah knows her name & she also knows commands such as: sit, down, shake & beg. She is food motivated, often taking treats gently, so having treats on you during training to mark good behaviour would be an excellent idea, but she may sometimes forget her manners & snatch food from your hand - but this is often rare.
We always recommend post-adoption training whether it be at home or with a professional. Training doesn’t have to be a chore – it can be a fun experience for you both, it doesn’t have to take long & is a great way for you to bond with your new pal.
Play: Savannah has mid-range energy needs & would benefit from exercise, play, or walks from 30-60mins a day to keep her happy & content. She is playful & loves to play with stuffed toys.
Savannah walks well on lead, but may pull occasionally, when she pulls she can be strong, so loose leash training should be a part of her training. She is best walked with a martingale or on a harness for full control.
Staff Comments: Savannah is a big, goofy gal who puts a smile on everyone’s face! She is playful, smart, loves a cuddle & to be brushed. She knows that she is super cute & often dials up the cuteness meter to 10 when she 'begs' because she knows this little trick gets everyone to say "awwww"...

With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
So please keep in touch with us after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
