Soul is a loyal and affectionate boy who has missed out on some socialization and training in his previous home. He's eager to please and already knows how to sit. His new owner will need to establish consistent training at home to help him develop good manners. Soul thrives in a structured environment with a solid routine. He can get excited and boisterous, sometimes jumping up, so ongoing work on teaching him to "sit" and keeping all four paws on the ground will be essential. He can also be strong on the lead, so some lead training will be necessary. He will do best in a household with teenagers who can provide the consistency and routine he needs. Soul loves playing with toys and is highly food- and treat-motivated, making him an excellent candidate for enrichment feeding. A meet-and-greet with other dogs is essential, as he missed out on socialization in the past. He did well during his dog assessments, showing eagerness to meet other dogs, though he can be a bit intrusive at first. A thorough introduction is required to ensure a good match. While he may whine or be excitable at first, he's not reactive or prone to barking. A secure, solid fence of at least 5 feet is essential to ensure Soul's safety and security.
