About Reginald
💛 Meet Reginald (Reggie) - A Gentle, Loving Boy Who's Waited Long Enough
Age: 2 years, 5 months | Breed: Domestic Short Hair | FIV+
Reginald-known lovingly as Reggie-has been with us for over 5 months, nearly half a year of waiting, watching, and hoping for his forever person to walk through the door. And while we're honored to care for him, we know he truly deserves so much more-a home of his own, and someone to love him the way he so sweetly loves back.
Reggie is 2 years and 5 months old, and in that time, he's grown into the kind of cat people dream of having. Calm, affectionate, and quietly soulful, he has a beautiful way of simply being with you. He's not overly demanding, but he's always nearby-ready to sit by your side, curl up in your lap, or offer a soft meow of comfort when you need it most. Reggie doesn't ask for much. Just a bit of your time, your gentle hand, a warm spot to rest his head, and maybe a treat or two.
He truly is the kind of cat who changes the energy in a room. You feel it the moment you meet him-this warmth, this softness, this gentle knowing that he's something special. The wat djerring team absolutely adore him! He's one of those cats everyone remembers and roots for. Reggie has a way of quietly attaching himself to your heart.
Reggie is also FIV positive, which can make adopters hesitate-but it shouldn't. FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) is a manageable condition. It simply means he has a slightly lower immune system and needs to live indoors, eat a good diet, and receive regular vet care-just like any other cat. FIV+ cats can and do live long, full, healthy lives. Reggie certainly doesn't let it stop him. He's playful, alert, and emotionally thriving.
Reggie could be rehomed with fellow FIV+ companions. Luckily, we have several other lovely FIV+ cats in our care, and we'd be more than happy to help find him a perfect feline match. Whether he joins an existing FIV+ household or is adopted alongside a buddy from the shelter, Reggie is the kind of cat who thrives with gentle companionship-human or feline.
After all these months, what Reggie needs is simple: a quiet, loving home, with someone who sees past the diagnosis and the time he's waited. Someone who sees the loving, loyal, deeply good cat he is.
Reggie is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and so ready to go home. He's been ready. All he's missing now is you.
Please don't overlook him. If you're looking for a cat who will love you wholeheartedly, who will fill your home with calm and kindness-Reggie is waiting.
And we're all cheering for the day he finally gets to leave with his forever family.
