About Flip
Meet Flip,
Flip is the kind of cat that makes every day a little brighter! This charming young boy is the perfect fit for any home and lifestyle, especially for first-time pet owners looking for a sweet and easy going feline friend.
From the moment he arrived at just four weeks old, Flip has won our hearts with his gentle, friendly, and affectionate nature. Now thriving as a young adult, he’s a confident and playful little adventurer who loves to explore, interact, and be part of the action. Whether he’s chasing after a toy, curiously investigating his surroundings, or curling up for a cuddle, Flip’s happy and social personality shines through. He’s always ready to make new friends - both human and furry alike!
If you’re looking for a loving and playful young cat to fill your home with warmth and love, Flip is ready to flip your world upside down (in the best way possible!).
Flip is open to meet kids of any age! He is a very smoochy boy who loves to be patted and touched all over his sleek body.
As we cannot test, we are unsure if Flip would be suitable to live with dogs. This would be up to the discretion of his new owners.
As for cats, Flip has previously shared his condo with other kittens whilst in our care - he's happy to share his space but the first few days will show him being a little shy before he opens up to accept his new room mate. If introducing Flip to another cat, we always recommend a slow, gradual & controlled interaction over a few days, to give him the best chance of making permanent friends.
We always encourage cats to be indoor cats. Flip started off as a very young, stray kitten. Flip loves being inside where he is warm, loved & safe. If he is outside, it will increase his chances of running away, getting lost, injured, or worse. As an inside cat he can live his best life - safely.
Flip has moments of high energy and loves his toys - especially dangly/feather or string toys. When he's not playing, he's rolling around on his bed, purring, willing you to pat him.
Flip is not fussy with his food, eating any food offered to him. Flip is a very quiet cat, who rarely makes any noise (apart from purring, obviously!)
Flip always uses his litter tray without any fuss.
Staff Comments: Flip would suit any home but needs to be inside only. He's such a sweet, affectionate & beautiful boy. We have watched him grow into the young adult he is today - he's watched his litter mates all be adopted & now he is the last one left. He is able to make friends with other cats but needs a slow intro to give him the best chance. Flip loves to play with his toys & absolutely adores being cuddled!
Medical notes
Recovered Cat Flu: Historically cat flu has had a negative reputation and can often deter people from adopting; but you wouldn’t actually be able to tell a recovered cat flu cat from a non-cat flu cat. The truth is that many cat flu cats will live happy, healthy, long lives in their new home. So, what is it? Cat flu is caused by a virus. Humans can’t catch it, but other cats can; but only if the cat is showing flu symptoms. Stressful situations like desexing, or a dramatic change in environment can lead to a recovered cat experiencing cat flu again, but this is usually short lived and rarely requires medical intervention. Most cats will recover on their own providing their vaccines are up to date.

With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
So please keep in touch with us after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
