About Percy
Percy is located at the Rescue Hub kennels and is searching for a long-term foster carer or his forever home!
🐾 Breed: Mixed breed (possibly Ridgeback, Beagle and Shepherd)
🎂 Age: 1 year old
👦 Gender: Male
🐕 Animal companions: Could share the home with another dog (meet and greet required). No cats.
👧🏻 Kids: Older teenagers who are dog savvy (as Percy is currently a very jumpy boy)
📍Location: Leppington, NSW
Percy unfortunately has not had a very good start to life (being only a year old this is extremely sad 🥺) and he found himself in the pound at no fault of his own.
He was attacked by a dog in his previous home, and was left needing a rescue.
Rescue Hub stepped in, and we are looking to bring some joy and light into this sweet boys life by finding him the perfect forever home!
Could this be with you??
Percy LOVES his outdoor time, especially a good game of fetch where he can run until his little heart is content. He will also do the most impressive zoomies you’ve ever seen 😁
This little bundle of joy also likes to chew, so it will be essential that Percy has access to some strong, sturdy chew toys, where he can direct his energy to when needed.
Being such a young pup, Percy will need human companions who are dedicated to walking him every day. Any young dog needs exercise and mental stimulation to keep their mind and body busy - allowing them to settle and relax more easily for the remainder of the day.
Once he has burnt off some energy, Percy loves to spend time with his people. He will be at your feet in a second, asking for all the pats and cuddles you have to offer. He is an affectionate boy, and will need his human companions to be home more often than not, to give him the sense of security he deserves. Like any pup, Percy can be a little jumpy and boisterous so he would be best suited to a household with older children.
Percy does well around other dogs. He can be a little timid to start, but he is gaining more exposure to other dogs, and his confidence is growing each day. He would benefit from living with another canine - one that could keep him company and teach him the ways of home living (a meet and greet for both dogs would be required upon a successful application).
Percy has had some basic training and can follow simple commands, however he will need continued training to become the best version of himself in his new forever home - including guidance in areas such as toilet training, lead manners and jumping behaviour.
If you have time, patience and love to offer this extremely deserving boy, please fill out an application.
