About Odie
Hi there! I’m Odie, a sweet and snuggly boy looking for a loving forever home. If you’re after a loyal companion who adores cuddles, I might just be the perfect match for you!
I’m happiest when I can curl up in your lap, day or night, and be close to my favorite humans. I don’t need loads of exercise, but I do enjoy a game of fetch—though I can’t promise I’ll always bring the ball back! Sometimes, when I’m excited, I get the zoomies, which are always fun to watch. I also love beach walks, but I prefer to keep my paws dry—swimming isn’t really my thing! Grooming is easy with me, and I even enjoy a little trim while sitting in your lap (just be gentle with my face, please).
I do have a few little quirks that make me unique. I’m quite curious, so a secure yard is important—I have a habit of sneaking off for an adventure if a gate is left open! I also love company and can get a bit lonely if left alone for long periods, so I’d do best in a home where someone is around most of the time. Because I can be a little nervous around young children, I need a home without kids under 12—this is just what makes me feel most comfortable. I get along well with other dogs and even cats, so I’d love a furry friend to keep me company!
I’ve recently spent a lot of time outdoors, but I’ve been very well-behaved inside. I’ve got mild case of patella luxation (Grade 2) in both back legs, which means my kneecaps sometimes shift slightly out of place. I don’t let it slow me down, and I’m not in any pain, but it’s something to keep in mind as I get older. In alot of cases, dogs with this condition may need treatment in the future, so pet insurance is a good idea with a provider that covers pre-existing conditions from rescue groups. On the bright side, my heartworm injection has already been renewed for another year, so I’m fully covered for that!
If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate companion and can offer me a loving, understanding home, I’d love to meet you. Let’s make memories together!-
