About Leelah
Meet Leelah, a stunning feline with a heart full of love to give. After being a wonderful mum, she's now ready to steal the show as a cherished family member herself. Her gentle demeanor and affectionate nature have endeared her to everyone she's met. Leelah adores the company of children and fits right in with the energy and warmth of a family setting.
One of her favorite pastimes is playing indoors or outdoors chasing a ping pong ball, proving that she's not just a pretty face but an enthusiastic playmate as well. Her playful spirit is matched only by her ability to cuddle, making her the perfect companion for lazy afternoons on the couch or shared pet-and-playtime with young ones. Leelah undoubtedly has the makings of the most loving family pet.
If Leelah sounds like the perfect fit for your home and heart, come meet her in person! She's waiting to charm you at our Adoption Centre, located at 17/39-41 Corporation Circuit, Tweed Heads South. We're open from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Saturday. Before your visit, don't forget to fill out our online adoption expression of interest form on our website. Leelah is eagerly awaiting to meet her new family!

Adoption details
If there is a cat/dog you would be interested in adopting that you have seen online or met at our Adoption Centres, you will need to fill out an Expression of interest. You can do this at the Centres or online at: https://friendsofthepound.com/adoption-expression-of-interest/
We only adopt out cats and dogs to locations that are within 2 hours driving distance.
If you are a homeowner, we need a copy of your Rates Notice. If you have a Body Corp, we need their written permission that cat/dog ownership is allowed.
If you are in a rental we need written permission from the Home owner/Letting Agent. The letter needs to be dated within the last week and state the property address, the name of the Occupant (adopter-to-be) and how long you have been at the property.
We cannot accept deposits and no hold can be put on a cat/dog.
All adoptions need to be approved by our Cat, Kitten or Dog Coordinators or Management so you might not be able to adopt the cat or dog at the time you meet them.
We aim to match the cats/dogs with the most suitable owner and home environment. Our goal is to have the cats and dogs go to a home where they can spend their entire lives, which could be up to 20 years or more for a kitten, and 15-20 years for a puppy.
