About Mittens
Meet Mittens: Your New Best Friend!
Get ready to fall head over heels for Mittens, a lovable small-to-medium crossbreed with a heart as big as his energy levels! This little dynamo is an absolute joy to have around-he's full of spunk, brains, and tons of affection.
Mittens is an all-around charmer with an endless zest for life. His playful personality and smarts make him a standout, always keeping you on your toes with fun antics and a lot of tail-wagging excitement. A true social butterfly, he loves the company of other dogs and thrives in their presence, but he's just as excited about meeting his human family. Should children reside in the home, Mittens would be happiest with human teenage siblings and can keep up with his playful energy.
If you're looking for a furry companion to bring endless joy, laughter, and love into your home, Mittens is your guy. This little terrier mix is the kind of dog that will make every moment feel brighter and every giggle a little louder. Adopt Mittens today and get ready to welcome a true blue bonza of a dog into your family!
To book a meet and greet with this gorgeous boy Mitens please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, Inquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
