About Baxter
It is preferred that Baxter be rehomed with another small/medium friendly, well-adjusted socially confident dog that enjoys being around pups. If he is not rehomed with another dog, his new family must be home more often than not and have friends/family with other dogs that he can get regular socialisation with other dogs
Baxter will not be rehomed to a home with children under the age of 7 for a number of reasons.
Not for interstate adoption, other than ACT
Meet Baxter, your quintessential boofy boy puppy with a heart full of love and a playful spirit that is simply infectious! This chunky fellow, with his soft fur and irresistibly squishable belly, is on the lookout for a new family who can match his zest for life. Baxter is a mostly chilled-out dude who loves hanging out and soaking up attention from anyone willing to offer a kind word and plenty of pets.
Though he is affectionately cheeky, Baxter isn’t over the top and responds well when called. This delightful rascal enjoys having his name praised and is learning house training. If you're seeking a furry companion who can share in leisurely cuddles and keep you entertained with the occasional playful antic then he’s your guy.
Baxter isn't just about relaxation; he's keen on an active lifestyle and will thrive in a home where he will go on daily walks, explore new places, and eventually join in on adventures to parks and beaches. His ideal family would be one that is energetic and loves exploring new places, ensuring he gets the interaction and stimulation he craves.
We do not know Baxter's exact breed, best guess at his breed mix is a Foxy/Cattle and perhaps Corgi mix, we do know he is sugar and spice and all things nice with a bit of usual crazy puppy mixed in.
We estimate that Baxter will grow to be between 10 and 15kg at maturity. Of course he may be a bit smaller or a bit bigger.
Their mum Precious is around 9kg, we do not know who dad was and he may have been a bit bigger and stockier than mum. We have attached a photo of Precious
The first 14-16 weeks of a puppy’s life are critical in how they’ll manage stress as adults, if they experience too little, too much or too many negative experiences, they will take this with them for life.
His foster carer says that Baxter has been an absolute delight to help raise from the tiny puppy that arrived into care with his mum Precious and sister Biscuit. He has hit every development milestone early and are extremely adept at soliciting cuddles from anyone nearby. Baxter settles quickly when faced with new experiences and go with the flow of whatever is happening around them.
We will only rehome Baxter to a home who we feel is capable, willing and sensitive to the needs of Baxter and who will continue his training and socialisation using only force-free reward-based training methods. Baxter's new family must also be prepared to commit to working with a force-free trainer to assist them with Baxter's development in his early months which will help him develop into a well-rounded canine citizen. We can recommend a trainer.
Like all of our pups, they must have access inside at all times and be permitted to cuddle on the couch.
As Baxter is only young and will need regular supervision and training, we are looking for a home where his new family are not away for long periods of time.
If you’re searching for an adorable puppy that’s the perfect combination of chill and cheeky, Baxter is eagerly waiting to be your trusty sidekick, promising endless love and happiness along the way.
If you would like to meet Baxter, please MAKE SURE you also send us an some detail on yourself and the home you are able to provide including your, your dog and any other pets (if any), family members, lifestyle, exercise and mental stimulation you will provide, how often Baxter would be alone, where he will have access in the home, where Baxter would go if you went away and could not take him with you, ability to cover vet expenses, and confirmation that you agree to continue the important puppy training with one of our approved trainers so that we can see if you’re a good match for Baxter
