About Pickles
This timid kitten requires a staff consult before adoption. To ensure a successful transition, she should be started in a small, quiet area, with access to hard-to-reach spots blocked off and escape routes secured. Allow her time to settle before allowing her to explore larger spaces, as she can become easily overwhelmed. The home should include scratching posts, cat trees, hideaways (like cardboard boxes or cat igloos), and elevated spots (such as shelves or dressers) to provide safe spaces both high and low. An adopter who is patient, understanding, and willing to give her time to adjust is essential, as she may be shy at first and need some time to show her true personality. She would do best with teens or older children who can read basic cat body language and know when to give her space. While she may take time to build confidence with other cats or kittens, she could thrive with a calm, gentle companion, especially if introduced gradually and given enough room to retreat when needed. She may also do well in a home with a calm, social
dog if interactions are closely monitored. Rescued as a stray "popcorn kitten," she has slowly built confidence and loves big cuddles and playing with toys.
