Nimmie is a marvel. Born blind and overcoming a tough start in life, she has grown into a magnificent little lady who refuses to let anything hold her back. She tackles the world with boundless enthusiasm, confidence, and a touch of daredevil spirit which at times is both inspiring and heart-stopping to witness!

While she may not see, Nimmie navigates her world in her own way—circling to map out her environment, occasionally bumping into things, but always pressing forward with determination. She has an incredible sense of trust in her humans when on a harness and leash, as if she truly believes she can fly!

Nimmie would thrive in a home with a tolerant dog mentor to help guide her. She may walk into them unceremoniously at times, but her intentions are always full of love.

She adores cuddles and kisses, tucking herself right under your chin for the best snuggles.

Due to her enthusiasm and ongoing learning in spatial awareness, she wouldn’t be suited to a home with small children, but she’d love a family who enjoys training and helping her navigate life with confidence.

Her ideal home will have minimal stairs, a stable environment where she can map things out, and a family who understands that her "diffability" doesn’t stop her from being an energetic, playful Kelpie. She loves bounding through the grass, pouncing, and coming back to her humans for affection.
