About Charlie STA013211
Meet Charlie, a beautiful soul who embodies calmness and grace. With a soft, velvety coat and an endearing nature, Charlie is an absolute sweetheart waiting to find a quiet home where love and patience abound. Although he is a quite shy at first, given time and space to adjust, Charlie will show you his gentle and peaceful nature.
Charlie is not the type to immediately jump onto a lap, but he enjoys being around his person, offering quiet companionship and subtle affection. It's this serene presence that makes him a delightful addition to a tranquil household that can devote time to nurturing his confidence. With affection and understanding, there's no saying if he might blossom into the lap cat of your dreams.
While Charlie is on the chonky side, he is committed to his current diet and is eager to reach a healthier weight, all while keeping his famously beautiful coat in pristine condition. A home without canines and the hustle of children would suit Charlie best, where he can thrive in a serene environment surrounded by those who appreciate a more relaxed pace of life.
If you are looking for a calm, loving companion who will fill your home with warmth and quiet joy, Charlie is sure to melt your heart with his sweet nature. As you offer him a space to feel comfortable and safe, he'll return the favor with affection and loyalty. Charlie truly is a gem waiting to be cherished.

Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
