About Opera
Meet Opera - 18-Month-Old Jack Russell Terrier
Opera is a delightful and affectionate young boy who is ready to find his forever home. Having entered care as a stray, not much is known about his past, but he has quickly shown himself to be a sweet, loving dog with a lot of potential.
At just 18 months old, Opera is eager to explore the world and get out of the shelter. He's already made great strides in settling into his new environment and warming up to the staff. Opera is looking for a calm, patient home where he can continue to build his confidence and become the energetic little pocket rocket he's destined to be.
Opera would thrive in a household where his people are committed to slowly introducing him to new experiences and allowing him to flourish at his own pace. He's eager to bond with his human companions and would prefer to be the center of attention in his home, though he could live with another calm, respectful dog, as long as they don't overwhelm him.
Not a lazy dog, Opera is full of energy and curiosity, and he's not just seeking a "couch companion" role. He's looking for a family that can provide him with the right balance of love, structure, and activities to keep him active and engaged. Whether it's playtime, walks, or Sunday morning sleep ins with his people, Opera will bring lots of joy and adventure into your life.
If you're looking for a spirited, affectionate future pocket rocket to join your family, Opera could be the perfect match for you. Let's help this sweet boy experience the wonders of his new life together!

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
