I am Tia.

The girl with the white coat, pure as first snow, save for the black smudge atop my head. It is not a mistake. It is a mark. My mark. Some say it looks as though my mother cuts my hair, and perhaps she does, but I wear it with pride. I am who I am.

I run. I chase. I wrestle. The world is a battlefield, and I am its conqueror. My sisters may challenge me, their small bodies twisting and pouncing, but I rise above. Always. I am the victor, the queen of our little kingdom. And when the battle is over, when the dust settles and the spoils are mine, I lay down my arms. Then come the cuddles. Warm and soft, like the embrace of a sunbeam on a cool morning.

I would thrive with my sisters, their companionship a familiar comfort, but I am no stranger to solitude. To be the belle of the ball, the center of all that is good and bright—that would suit me just fine. I do not demand. I do not plead. I simply am. And if you choose me, you will not regret it.
