About Portia
Portia is such a beautiful friendly girl, you can't help but love her.
Sometimes she has resting angry face, but she can't help it! She's really so sweet! She's always ready for a head scritch or a cuddle. She's a chatty cat, so she loves to tell you about her day (which is mostly snoozing and keeping her kittens in check). She has the long slim build of a Siamese, and combined with how talkative she is, her foster carer thinks she might be part Siamese, but without a genetic test, we may never know!
Portia arrived at the house of a friendly family when she was heavily pregnant, and gave birth to four beautiful kittens. She was a great mum to them, but now that they're off to their forever homes it's time to find one of her own.
Portia is great with kids, but she's very scared of other cats (even kittens who aren't her own) and dogs. So she'd be best in a house where she's the only pet. Her foster home at the moment has lots of other cats and dogs, which is why most of the photos of Portia are in the bathroom. That's her room where she feels safe.
Could you be Portia's new family?

Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A property check will take place via a video. Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals will be rehomed desexed, 1st vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to hold any animals. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now.
