About Dottie
Dotti (f/8 months) β Looking for her forever home! π‘
Current location: Melbourne / VIC π
π Remember Dottie?
In October, Dottie was handed in to the pound with an injury needing urgent surgery.
Our incredible foster carer jumped straight into the car π to rescue her from the pound, and we rushed her to our vet. It turned out she had a fractured femoral head. π’ What pain the poor little baby must have been in!
Instead of amputation (which would have been cheaper ), we opted for surgery to preserve her leg. Yes, it was VERY expensive, but the surgery was successful, and she has made a full recovery! ππ
Recently Miss Dottie was desexed and now is looking for her forever home! π‘π
Here is what we know about Dottie:
Dottie is like a party mix lolly bag π - a mix of energy, snuggles, cheekiness, cuteness, loyalty, and of course, snoozes π€.
She is still learning to be the best doggo ever as she has been restricted for much of her short life due to the sad start, period of recovery, and learning that people are not all bad.
Dottie has basic manners (sit, stay, down, wait), is still learning to walk without being distracted⦠sometimes simply by her own reflection. She loves food, a good ball-throwing session, or tug of war.
She is great with children but due to her energy, would be best with children over 5οΈ years, as she forgets that her excitable, wiggly body can sometimes knock them over.
Dottie would benefit from another dog in her life, maybe 4 years or older, to match her energy while also teaching her the ropes. She has lived with two seniors and keeps them young but can sometimes be a bit too much when the old grumps need a break!
Dottie is not fond of cats πβ - she once saw one in a cat mansion cage and decided to sing her best heavy metal cover song to it!
She loves a good chew toy, chicken jerky, and tennis balls . She is house-trained, can use a doggie door, and loves to sleep in your room, preferably on your bed.
A medium to large yard to play in and daily walks are a must!
