Hola! I’m Jalepeno – I bring the spice, extra spicy my foster hooman says. I’m a curious little lady with a gentle soul and a cautious heart.

I had some trauma when I was younger, so I’ve spent a long time feeling confused about why my foster hooman keeps giving me love and treats. I want to trust, I really do — I’ve just never fully learned how to accept pats, yet… But, I will approach you for a little sniff, and I always come running for creamy treats, my absolute favourite and biggest weakness.

With a slow approach, patience, and snacks (mostly snacks), I’m learning to feel safe again. I’ve even hopped on the bed with my foster hooman, especially in winter.

Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
Older kids? Yep, as long as they understand I’m still figuring myself out.

Other cats? I do well! Some get a friendly hello, some get a polite hiss. A calm, confident cat could really help me settle. My best friend is Province, also up for adoption, go look her up. We sleep, eat, and play together. Maybe you could consider adopting us both.

Dogs? I lived with a bouncy, nosey doggo. She’s not around anymore, and I’ve gotten used to lying about more, just like a dog. We did get along, as I told her who was boss. A respectful, cat‑savvy dog is totally fine.

✔️Toys? Absolutely yes.
✔️Climbing towers? My happy place.
✔️A cosy nap spot with a view? Heaven.
✔️Bird‑watching and people‑watching from the window? My jam.

⛔️Pats? I’m… working on it. I’m not there yet, but I’m trying. Offer treats first — it increases your success rate.

My PURR-fect home would be a quiet, calm home with patient humans who understand that healing takes time. I would love to be adopted with Province because she is my safe space. I need someone who offers love, safety, and creamy snacks… mostly snacks. Think we’re a match? Let’s go taco ’bout it. 🌮
