About Sid and Nancy
Sid and Nancy are a bonded brother and sister pair of Ragdolls. True to their breed, they love people! (Particularly Sid who would be on your lap all day every day if you let him). Nancy can be nervous with new people when she meets them sometimes, but Sid is anybody's man!
Sid and Nancy came from a terrible environment, and when they came into the rescue they were malnourished, and covered in fleas. With the fleas now under control, and plenty of good meals they're on the mend and getting so much better.
They're still quite young, and it's great to see them playing again like kittens now they're getting better. They love chasing jingly balls and stalking flies through the house. Typical of their breed, they're pretty lazy most of time (which is why so many photos are of them sleeping).
They love humans and are fine with kids, but are really nervous around dogs and other cats. So they'd probably be happiest in a home where they're the only pets.
Are you the right home for these beautiful cats?
Medical notes
From her flea infestation Nancy has some fur loss on her ears. Now that the fleas are under control, the fur should grow back over time.
Both cats are still underweight for their breed, but this is best solved in their forever home with great nutrition and lots of love.
Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A property check will take place via a video. Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals will be rehomed desexed, 1st vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to hold any animals. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now.
