Hiya Everyone! I'm Jewel! I've had a bit of a bumpy start, so I haven't had the typical doggy experiences many others have. Because of that, I might get a little nervous around new things and might be shy about coming inside at first as I'm still learning about home life. I also love to explore with my mouth, so sometimes I might nibble on things, like soft toys (oops!). But even with all that, I've got SO much love to give, and I can't wait to share it all with you!

It might take me a little time to warm up to you, but with your patience and gentle love, I'll soon be your best friend! Cuddles are my favorite thing in the world (I'm a retriever, after all), and I will snuggle up with you once I'm ready!

I also have a thick double coat that LOVES to get all muddy (I just can't resist the water and mud!), so I'll need some regular brushing to keep me looking fabulous.
I can go home with another dog too, as long as we have a meet and greet to make sure we're a good match! Jewel has shown that she is very talkative and has proven that she's eager to learn.

Jewel especially loves food, cuddles and walks! Jewel will require a home with teens or older and must meet all members of the family at the time of adoption. She would prefer to live on her own or with a calm, social doggy friend as she can be quite energetic!
