Bucky

Bucky is a very happy boy who would love nothing more than to follow you around inside and give you lots of cuddles. He is a puppy so he can be playful sometimes but when you let him inside, he calms down really quickly and, most of the time, he just likes to sleep.

Bucky is a good boy who is still learning the ropes on what to do. He is mostly toilet-trained (only had one accident inside!) and will sleep all night in his bed. He is also great walking on the lead!

Bucky is kind to other people and dogs. He hasn’t been tried with kids yet but he is a gentle and kind-hearted dog so it shouldn’t be a problem. Bucky definitely has his quirks, such as his loud yawns and lizard chasing, but wants nothing more than to be someone’s best friend!

Bucky would be best suited to a home with another furry friend as he gets distressed when left alone with no one to share the spare time with.

Want to know more about how you teach a pup to be a great dog? I’d like to do training every day so that I learn the commands of sit, stay, come, down, no, stop and leave it. And once I’ve learnt them, I need to keep practicing them every day too. That way I’ll learn to obey what you tell me to do. Being consistent and clear with your boundaries will mean I always know the right way to behave. Getting out to exercise at least once a day (and twice for working dog breeds) is vital to stimulate my brain and body. It creates important opportunities for me to meet strangers, other dogs and other animals, plus it tires me out! Tell me “no” if I’m chewing something I shouldn’t and give me a chew toy instead. I’d love to have a range of chew toys that you can swap around so I don’t get bored with them.

 

I CAN FLY TO PERTH!

Flying for a few hours is very important for animals in remote locations, because it gives us the opportunity to be adopted. Talk to SAFE about flying me to you in Perth.
