About Shae
Introducing Shae from the Game of Thrones Litter, eight enchanting puppies born on November 9, 2024.
Shae's mum is a purebred Rottweiler and her dad is a Rottie x French Mastiff (AKA Dogue de Bordeaux). With a pedigree mix that combines the noble traits of the Rottweiler and the placid, friendly nature of the French Mastiff, Shae and her littermates are fine examples of the so-called “Rottie Bordeaux”.
Shae has a calm and gentle demeanor, but unsurprisingly, she's also inquisitive, active, and eager to explore her surroundings.
The Rottweiler we know today descends from mastiffs that lived in the Roman Empire more than 2,000 years ago. An ancient breed, they have a long history of being loyal and protective companions, qualities Shae is sure to inherit.
The French Mastiff was bred as a guardian and hunter, a job that required strength, courage, loyalty and dedication. Despite their large and powerful appearance, the French Mastiff tends to be a very laid-back, placid and even-tempered dog.
The Rottie Bordeaux is large dog that's regarded as an affectionate, loyal and protective family pet. But with big dogs come big responsibilites, including training, exercise, and care. In particular, the Rottie Bordeaux should be obedience-trained and well socialised from a very young age.
With consistent training and early socialization, Shae promises to be a loyal and loving family dog. She will flourish in a home with large dog experience and where she is regarded as an integral member of the family. It is crucial for potential applicants to know she will not do well if left alone in the backyard for lengthy periods.
So if you are a strong and confident dog lover and you are looking to welcome an intelligent, affectionate, and loyal dog into your life, Shae could be the girl for you.
She is offered for adoption under the terms of our Deferred Desexing Program, which means she can go to her new home undesexed on the condition that her new family have her desexed at our cost when age appropriate. Terms and conditions apply.
If you wish to express interest in Shae, please complete the online application form at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ and include photos of your yard and fencing because, as always, secure fencing is essential.
Prior Rottie, Mastiff or large breed experience will be viewed favourably.
