Amadine was rescued from a rural location with her kittens over a year ago. While her kittens have found their fur-ever homes, Amadine is still waiting for her perfect match.

Nature
Having spent little time in the hooman world, Amadine is reserved and reclusive. She will need a family prepared to devote their time and effort to working with her to build her confidence and sense of security enough to begin her journey to becoming a lap cat.

While she still prefers to hide when her Foster Mum is around, Amadine loves spending time with the other adult cats in the household. When her Foster Mum has interacted with her, Amadine hasn’t ever shown aggression, rather, she will freeze and accepts pats, even though fearfully. Her Foster Mum knows there is a sweet, loving girl ready to come out in the right hands.

Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
Amadine would likely do well in a mature household with a family who will be patient with her and give her space to come out of her shell.

Amadine lives in a large household of adult cats, and enjoys their company. She tends to stick close to them and follow their lead, suggesting that she would do well with a confident feline friend to share her fur-ever home with. While Amadine does live with a dog, she avoids him as much as possible.

Likes / Dislikes
Amadine is still very shy around her Foster Mum, but she does enjoy the various toys, scratching posts, and cat towers in her foster home during the quiet of the night. She prefers a secluded sleeping spot during the day. She helps herself to good quality dry food, at various feeding spots throughout the house, and will come out of hiding for some yummy wet food.

My PURR-fect home would be with a patient and loving family who will allow me to build confidence at my own pace, as slow as that could be. I’d also love a feline friend or two to hang out with!
