About Eliza
Our sweet but at times anxious Jack Russell Terrier Eliza is ready to search for an understanding home.
Eliza is 7 years and 4 months old ( DOB 11 July 2017) and a beautiful fun girl with the terrier tenacity.
Eliza came into our care in poor condition (chronic ear infections, dental issues and overweight). That is all behind her now and she is in tip top condition for her age.
Eliza was adopted but came back to us due to being "reactive" towards other dogs. We have done some work around this and found that Eliza needs a person she trusts and can rely on to not put her in a position of risk. She is not reactive when she knows her person has her back and will protect her.
So we are back on the hunt for a home for Eliza. We are looking for a quieter home, no children and no great expectations of Eliza to interact with lots of unfamiliar dogs at once and straight away. Eliza needs to build her trust with her new people first.
Eliza is good with other dogs, when introduced properly. She is currently in foster care with two dogs. Eliza is not good with cats or pocket pets or small children.
If your looking for a devoted companion then Eliza may be the one. She is desexed, fully vaccinated, had her ears sorted, had a dental, desexed and microchipped. Eliza's adoption fee is $650.00.

Medical notes
Had chronic ear infections when she first came into care. This has been fully resolved through sedations and ear cleans + medication + good diet. No ear infection issues in the last 3 months.
Had poor dental which has been addressed through a sedation and clean + extraction. With healthy diet this is no longer causing her issues.
Can be anxious in new situations and new home.
Adoption details
We like to take the personal approach where a person sends an email of interest around an animal and then we will follow up with phone discussions and email exploration through a survey.
Please note we are a small group of volunteers that balances the administrative side with the care of the animals.
Please only apply for one of our animals if you are genuinely interested in them.
We expect the prospective owner to travel to meet the animal and we are open to trial periods to ensure we have the match right.
